Lucky Paws Animal Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in December 2020 by Chris Thompson, Jessica Thompson, and Aron Garcia. The organization was born out of a passion for helping animals and a desire to make a difference in the lives of cats in need.
Prior to starting Lucky Paws, Chris, Jessica, and Aron were active volunteers with various animal rescue groups, including Poi Dogs and Popoki, KAT Charities, and Joey’s Feline Friends along with being involved with forums like Catopia, Fosters Unite, and Cat People of Oahu. Through these experiences, they gained valuable knowledge and experience in the world of animal rescue and care.
In September 2022, Lucky Paws Animal Foundation opened its doors to the public, including the Lucky Paws Cat Resort, a boarding facility for cats. The resort will provide a safe and comfortable place for cats to stay while their owners are away, and will also serve as a source of funding for the organization’s rescue and adoption efforts.
The future looks bright for Lucky Paws, as the organization continues to form new partnerships and expand its capacity to help even more animals in need. With a dedicated team of animal lovers at the helm, Lucky Paws is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of cats on the island of Oahu.
